英語翻譯與寫作之適當增加細節(jié)

“適當增加細節(jié)”的八大技巧

廣東省中山市第一中學  吳榮華

近幾年全國及各省高考卷的書面表達所提供的要點信息都較為簡單，但同時也指出“可以適當增加細節(jié)，以使行文連貫”。這種靈活的命題方式既給了學生較大的發(fā)揮空間，又對學生提出了更高要求。寫作時，有些學生僅僅簡單翻譯所給信息點，文章就顯得單調乏味，字數不足，達不到交際的目的。還有些學生信口開河，信馬由韁，結果詳略不當，偏離主題。此時，我們應該合理拓展顯性信息，運用以下技巧挖掘隱性信息，才能做到適當增加細節(jié)。

一、增加原因細節(jié)

(2008全國II卷書面表達范文)參加中文學習班；

Here are a few suggestions. First, it isimportant to take a Chinese course, as you’ll be able to learn from theteacher and practice with your fellow students.以下是幾點建議。首先，上漢語課很重要，因為你能向老師學習，和同學們一起練習。

點撥：有時可以在活動類的要點信息后增加原因細節(jié)，用以解釋或說明做某事的原因，使內容更充實。常用的原因表達法包括because/as引導的原因狀語從句、介詞for/because of, which等引導的定語從句，非謂語動詞和一些句式等等。

點撥：有時可以在要點信息后增加結果細節(jié)，說明做某事的結果，使內容更完善。常用的結果表達法包括so that(以至于)，so/such…that…(如此…以至…)等引導的結果狀語從句，which等引導的定語從句和非謂語動詞等等。

點撥：有時可以在要點信息的前后增加目的細節(jié)，說明做某事的目的，使內容更豐富。常用的目的表達法包括in order that(為了)/so that(以便)等引導的目的狀語從句，inorder to動詞不定式，which等引導的定語從句等等。

點撥：有時可以在文章結尾增加條件細節(jié)，說明做某事的條件，使內容更禮貌。常用的條件表達法是if引導的條件狀語從句、非謂語、定語從句和獨立主格結構等等。

(2011全國Ⅰ卷書面表達范文) 學習暑期課程遇到一些困難，求助內容：希望得到學校輔導中心(Learning Center)的幫助。

But I have some difficulties withnote-taking and I have no idea of how to use the library. I was told the Learning Center provides help for students andI’m anxious to get help from you. 但是我在做筆記方面有困難，而且不知道如何使用圖書館。我得知學校輔導中心可以為學生提供幫助，因此渴望得到你們的幫助。

七、增加過渡細節(jié)

(2013全國Ⅱ卷滿分作文)By the way, do you know what they stand for？How can we solve the problems then?As far as I’m concerned, riding bicycles is a good solution. 順便說一下，你知道他們代表什么嗎？我們如何才能解決問題呢？我認為，騎單車是一個好的解決方法。

(2012陜西卷書面表達范文)Firstly, I collected all the books, newspapers and otherthings scattered in the rooms and put them in place. Then I wiped thedust off all the furniture. After that, I swept and mopped the floors. 首先,我把所有的書籍、報紙和其他的散落在屋子里的東西收集起來放好,接著我掃去所有家具上的灰塵,然后我掃地、拖地。

點撥：可以在文章中增加過渡細節(jié)，將各個要點和文章各部分之間銜接起來，使內容更連貫。常用插入語來表示過渡，如worse still, besides等形容詞和副詞，to tell the truth, generally speaking等非謂語，by the way, in a word等介詞短語，if you please, as we all know等從句，what’s more, as far as I’m concerned等分句。

八、增加展望細節(jié)

(2012全國Ⅱ卷書面表達范文)I’m sure you’ll have a good time at the party, too. 我確信你在聚會上也會玩得很高興。

(2011全國II卷書面表達范文)提出建議：刊登指導英語學習的文章。

As a young student, I suggest that GlobalMirror carry articles to guide us in our English learning, and I hope thatit will become even more popular. 作為一名年輕學生，我建議Global Mirror周報刊登文章引導我們學習英語，我希望它會變得更加受歡迎。

(2016天津卷書面表達范文)表達祝愿與期望。Atlast，on behalf ofall the students in our school，I wish you will have a safe and happy journey home and that therewill be more programs like this in the future. 最后，代表我校全體同學，我祝你回家旅途平安快樂，將來會有更多像這樣的項目活動。

總之，增加細節(jié)應該畫龍點睛而非畫蛇添足。這就要求學生根據背景、主題、常識、題材、體裁以及所給信息，從實際需要出發(fā)，短話長說，進行合理有效的補述和追述，以使文章有血有肉、連貫飽滿。
